It's a ...
It's a BOY and we couldn't be happier! We were totally happy with either but we just knew it was going to be a boy. I'm so excited that I can start calling him by his name, Brady Scott, instead of Bean. Although, Bean will probably always be a nickname for him. Lol.
Let me tell you, my son is a wiggle-worm! He was moving the entire time. It was the most amazing thing watching him. How anyone doesn't think babies are a miracle is beyond me. We prayed that he'd cooperate so we could find out the gender and the entire time he had his legs spread wide open; he isn't shy. :-p
He really loves touching his face and was even sucking his thumb during the ultrasound. It was the cutest thing ever! I'm so in love with him.
The ultrasound tech spent a lot of time checking every bone, organ and square inch of his body and she said that he is 100% perfect from head to toe. God is so good! His heart rate is 145-150 and going strong! He's also head-down already which my midwife said was great. He weighs 11 ounces right now. Neither of us can remember if the tech said how long he is. He measured at 20 weeks but they are still keeping my due date June 4th, since that's only a two-day difference.
I found out that I have an anterior placenta which just means that it usually takes a little bit longer to feel the baby move, which is probably why it's taken me so long to feel movement. However, I'm 90% convinced that I am now feeling movements, kicks even. It's the greatest feeling ever. I wasn't sure it was the baby because I was expecting it to be really low and it's been around my belly button, but since finding out that's he's already head-down it makes sense that's where I would be feeling the movements.
Until next time,
