Ice Skating and Droid

Brad and I went ice skating yesterday. It was his first time going and my second. My first time it took me about 30 minutes and I was flying around the rink. I thought this time it would take my a while to get the hang of it again but once I got out there it was only a matter of minutes until I was flying around again.

Brad, on the other hand, was a different story. LOL! He pretty much stayed to the railing the whole time. The first time he let go and stepped away from the railing he took a hard fall, legs flew open and everything. I about peed my pants. LOL! We were both cracking up! He bruised his wrist (which is feeling much better today) but he kept going, hanging onto the railing again. Well, he let go a couple of times, one time he made it one full lap around without falling and then shortly after when I wasn't looking, he fell again and said he was done after that because it killed his wrist when he fell.

I'm proud of him for trying. :) I wish I would have taken some pictures but I forgot!

In more news, I finally got a smartphone. Yay! I know, I'm really behind. After much research, I ordered the Droid Razr Maxx. It's supposed to arrive Tuesday. I already have a huge list of apps that I want to download. I know I'm going to be totally lost at first but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in no time ... and have fun doing so!

What are your favorite apps? Maybe I'll give them a try.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

  2. Hi-
I have no idea if people with droids can download the same apps as people with iPhones, but one of my favorite apps is called Lose It! I track my calories and exercise on it everyday! You can add friends for accountability and to share recipes with.

I love your blog and recently started one again bc yours inspired me!

  4. Hi Amy,

Just like the readers about I found you blog on the 'Weight loss Success Stories" one and I've read all your archive.

First of all, congratulations for your results. I'm sure it took a lot of ambition, investing some serious resources and most of all courage to embark on this amazing journey.

Secondly, I can't thank you enough for sharing your experience. For some of us it's hard openly talking about these issues as listeners can sometimes over criticize or be over emotional.

I am your faithful reader as of now.

    God bless!
